Happily Ever After
Who are you? More importantly—who else could you be? This practice is about slipping into another skin, stepping into another life, letting go of who you think you are and becoming something, someone, entirely new. And maybe, in the process, finding the joy in not taking yourself too seriously.
A Practice of Transformation
Pick a character—any character. A royal monarch, a pirate, a rock star, a squirrel. Someone grand, someone absurd, someone completely unexpected.
Now, become them. Walk like them, talk like them, move like them. If they have a signature phrase, say it. If they have a grand gesture, do it. If they have a completely different way of seeing the world—try it on for size.
For five minutes, live in this new reality. Own it. Fully commit. And if laughter rises, let it. Let the ridiculousness of it all wash over you, let the sheer joy of playing take hold. Be as over-the-top as you dare.
Then, when the time feels right, pause. Take a breath. Let the character go. Feel yourself return, a little looser, a little lighter.
And ask yourself—who else could I be?
